The vocals are anthemic, specifically during the chorus. The melodic aspects surprise you at every turn, blazing their own trail.

Barth wrote this song while struggling with her mental and physical health. She feels that life in the aftermath of the pandemic has become quite monotonous for many people, and navigating her early and now mid-20s has been much harder than she anticipated.
