6 Active K-Pop Girl Groups That Have Not Comeback In Over 500 Days

For active, not disbanded K-Pop groups, fans can usually expect them to comeback with a full or mini-album at least once or twice each year. Unfortunately, this is not always the case, meaning groups who have stated they have not disbanded sometimes will go much longer without a comeback, leaving fans wishing for their faves to return.

While boy groups’ schedules are often interrupted due to military service, girl groups are able to continuously promote, making it noticeable when there are extended breaks. Here are six active girl groups who have not had an official comeback in over 500 days.

1. CLASS:y

Survival show girl group CLASS:y debuted on May 5, 2022 and released their latest Korean comeback, “Tick Tick Boom,” on October 26, 2022.

The group has released a winter track in 2023, but it has been 535 days since their last official comeback.

2. MAMAMOO

MAMAMOO officially debuted on June 18, 2024, with “Mr. Ambiguous” under RBW Entertainment. The group’s most recent comeback, “Illella” was released on October 11, 2022.

The group have been focused on solo activities, as most members have since signed with other companies, and RBW removed the group from their Korean website. It has been 550 days since their last comeback.

3. BLACKPINK

BLACKPINK debuted in August 2016, and their latest comeback happened with the release of their Born Pink album in August 2022.

In December 2023, YG Entertainment stated the members had each renewed their contracts for group activities, promising new music. Born Pink featured two titled tracks that were promoted — based on their return with “Pink Venom,” it has been 603 days since their last comeback; based on their “Shut Down” promotions, 575 days.

4. WJSN

WJSN debuted on February 25, 2016, and their latest comeback, “Last Sequence,” was released on July 5, 2022.

In 2023, it was announced that three members — Xuanyi, Cheng Xiao, and Meiqi — had departed and that Luwon and Dawon had not re-signed with Starship Entertainment, though they remained members of WJSN. It has been 684 days since their last comeback.
