The production sound ambitious, grandiose even and so ‘Burning All My Bridges’ had me tuned in completely from the first second. Helsinki’s Black Currants understand what it takes to provide us with an immersive experience, slightly psychedelic, chords fully charged and a beat that holds it all together and keeps the fires burning. This could be the Brian Jonestown Massacre or the Velvet Underground or Joy Zipper and that is a good estimation of the success of ‘Burning All My Bridges’. Close your eyes and the dream emerges, you might not even notice that you’re several feet off the ground come the finish.
