With a refined approach, Bodo demonstrates a wealth of compositional experience, evident from the first notes.

The song’s twilight atmosphere and entrancing interpretation immediately draw the listener in, setting an introspective and captivating mood.

One notable aspect of “Le Silence” is its well-crafted arrangements. Each element feels purposeful and meticulously placed, contributing to the overall charm of the track.

Bodo’s use of the French language adds a theatrical and passionate layer to the music, enhancing its emotional depth.

Fans of Noir Desir may find themselves drawing parallels to Bodo’s compositional style, as both artists share a knack for infusing their music with a certain raw authenticity.

The guitar work on “Le Silence” is masterful, with masterful arpeggios and riffs filling the sound space and enveloping the listener in a intense halo of sound.

Intense!

Montreal born singer-songwriter Gianni Bodo has been writing, recording and performing music for over 2 decades, showcasing his unique ability to produce and and perform in three languages. Renowned for his high profile collaborations with, among others, Juno award winning producer and songwriter Pierre Marchand (Sarah McLachlan, Rufus Wainwright) and Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Colin Devlin, Gianni’s debut solo outing, Fade to Rose, touted him as one of 2014’s biggest music revelations. His musical endeavours have since then been featured internationally in multiple radio and television broadcasts, newspapers, blogs, webzines and magazines.

In 2020, released in the midst of the global pandemic, Bodo’s poignant single, Hurricanes and Butterflies, piled up rave reviews and radio play around the world. In 2021, Si Je Pars, his first commercial French language single, co-written with 80’s blockbuster songwriter Nicholas Eede (I Just Died in Your Arms), charted across Quebec and became the first French language song to reach the finals in the history of Canadian Music Week. The song also held a spot on the Stingray chart for nearly 3 years.
