Grand Theft Auto fans have been not so patiently waiting for over 11 years now to get their hands on the next mainline installment in the open-world series, and we may have just seen a hint for when GTA 6‘s next trailer will arrive.
As spotted by GamesRadar+, in a new video for a GTA Online promoting the inclusion of a pizza deliver scooter, the license plate reads ‘PIZZ4’. Not so special on its own, and clearly spelling out the word ‘pizza’.
However, fans noticed that in the upper left corner of the plate, three letters can be seen: ‘OCT’. Putting Oct and 4 together, you get October 4, the date some players now believe will be when we see the next trailer for GTA 6.

If you think this seems like a bit of a stretch, you’re right, but GTA 5 released 11 years ago, so people are desperate for any hint of news about GTA 6 they can possibly get their hands on.
According to players over on Reddit, OCT is written on all San Andreas license plates, so it’s unlikely this is a hint at a new trailer three months away.
One player referenced the state of the fan base, writing: “With each day that passes, our sanity diminishes.” Another is sick of the whole thing: “Jesus Christ…just stop. The trailer will come out when it comes out. It’s not going to be hidden in some image or social media post or from the previous trailer.”
What we do know so far, based on a story trailer from last December, is that the game is coming out at some point in 2025 and will have a female protagonist, Lucia.
In other news, Elden Ring‘s servers are down to allow for maintence during the rolling out of the game’s latest patch – but don’t worry, you can still play it offline.
