Cold War Kids at The Tarheel – 5/31/18

▣The Tarheel | Jacksonville, NC                               ▣Thursday, May 31st 2018

Cold War Kids astounded the crowd with their Indie funk sound Thursday night, May 31st at The Tarheel in Jacksonville, NC. The show started with a young alternative Indie band out of Nashville, TN, named Arlie. The band is a group of five young guys that are definitely worth your time! Nate Banks-lead vocals/guitar, Carson Lystad-lead guitar, Tyler Waters-keyboard & background vocals, Jason Antwi-bass & background vocals and Adam Lochemes-drum & background vocals. These guys came to impress as song after song the crowd was pulled into the Arlie World. They are currently on tour across the US; next stop is the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, TN. You can catch them there on June 7th…but feel free to hang out cause the festival lasts till June 10th.

The stage went completely dark, as the screams of the fans were all you could hear before the band entered the stage. Fans quickly crowded the small stage to attempt to get as close as they could. At The Tarheel, you cannot get more intimate; you are literally less than a foot away from the band on stage. Cold War Kids satisfied the fans by performing fan favorites like “Love is Mystical” & “So Tied Up”. Fans sang the words to every song…there was no downtime or lag in the concert. Cold War Kids is also currently touring the US after their newest album-Audience was released in September 2017. You can catch them June 7th at Rose Park, Columbia, MO. Don’t miss them!
