The recently reformed nu-metal band – now led by vocalist Emily Armstrong alongside Mike Shinoda – performed in São Paulo, Brazil to launch their new record ‘From Zero’. During the show – which was partially livestreamed on the band’s YouTube channel – the band announced that they were filming the gig for a concert film.

A release date for the film has yet to be announced. During the performance – which was also livestreamed in full on Brazilian broadcast channel Multishow – the band performed several new cuts from the newly released album, as well as their biggest hits.

The film announcement comes shortly after the band announced a world tour for 2025, which will commence at the beginning of next year, hitting stadiums and arenas across North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America.

Starting in Mexico City on January 31, the new schedule includes Linkin Park’s first stadium shows in Tokyo and Mexico City since 2017, as well as a return to Jakarta after 13 years. It also includes several notable festival appearances around the globe, including Sick New World, I-DAYS, Novarock, and more.

The new album ‘From Zero’ was given a three-star review by NME, who described the record as having “an intriguing mix of sensational, knockout stadium rock and some perplexingly tired songwriting”.

“Crucially, ‘From Zero’ must be viewed as a reset, exemplified by its title which pays homage to the band’s former name: Xero. Therefore, any inevitable comparisons to their largely masterful discography must bear in mind the place from which ‘From Zero’ was born: an organic desire from Brad Delson, Dave Farrell, Joe Hahn and Shinoda to create together as Linkin Park once more,” it read.

“The global rock scene is surely a better place when Linkin Park are in it, and the elite moments on ‘From Zero’ – despite its shortcomings – confirm why.”
