Claude VonStroke to End Hiatus, Return to Touring In 2025

Claude VonStroke is turning the beat around.

After a bold detour into bass music as Barclay Crenshaw—a move that was announced this time last year—the Dirtybird Records visionary will return to touring as Claude VonStroke in 2025, he revealed this week.

Destined to reignite his house music legacy on the dancefloor, VonStroke’s resurgence marks the start of a new chapter in a storied career that has thrived on reinvention. As Crenshaw, he captivated listeners in 2024 with Open Channel, a debut album that infused a variety of new creative influences including bass, dub and funk.

But even as the bass boomed, VonStroke’s house music roots have ultimately called him home, at least for the foreseeable future.

"Claude VonStroke is back on tour next year," he shared in a candid newsletter with fans, signaling a seismic shift back to the sounds that defined Dirtybird’s rise as one of dance music’s most celebrated labels.

His first performance as VonStroke in over a year is set for May 2025 at Lightning in a Bottle. Scheduled for May 21-25 at Buena Vista Lake in Southern California, the event will feature VonStroke's return alongside performances by Four Tet, Jamie xx, John Summit, Monolink, Flowdan and EDM.com Class of 2024 star Hamdi, among others.
