There’s a really neat contrast between the distinct near tribal percussion and the lighter than light vocals and it has the effect of endearing ‘Foolish’ to our pop side. Manchester’s Big Society show us that they have something stirring deep inside of them so it comes as no surprise to find this track bloom even further as the seconds ticked by. There is a broad sweep to its bag of attractions, bursting into incandescent life like a big rock ballad of yore that you might expect from the likes of Starship. At this degree of head filling there was no way ‘Foolish’ was going to slip our attentions. KH
