Austrian solo artist dr. snow pairs soaring mystique and more ardent guitar-driven dexterity throughout “Aruna,” a commanding track with dynamic tonal range. Coming ahead of an album, due in early 2026, “Aruna” dazzles in its various elements — from electrifying guitar work to an impassioned vocal infusion. dr. snow cites guitarist inspirations such as Plini and Steve Hackett, melding impressive musicianship and guitar work with a scenic setting for where the track was recorded: the Austrian alps. “I am a skier, therefore my artist name is dr. snow,” he explains. “I was before skiing in the Swedish national team and I am still skiing and making music.”
A solemn, nocturnal mystery emanates from the initial guitar tones, then traversing quickly into expressive twangs. The 50-second mark unveils ardent doses of distortion, thunderous and confident in their delivery. The gripping vocal element arrives subsequently, consuming in its evident emotion. Impressive guitar work continues throughout, culminating in a mor elegant piano and acoustic intertwining toward the track’s conclusion. A resonating sound drives throughout “Aruna,” which translates to “dawn” and is described by dr. snow as reflecting “when the dawn is going to be a day in the alps where I live.”
