Of course I was reading it as a completely different artist at first but the slowcore, low-ebbed and altogether slacker chords meant that that was all incidental and we quickly got into ‘Angel”s stride. And what an emotional ride it proved to me, beautiful Slowdivesque chords and general shoegaze drama with the difference coming in a singer who gets as much airtime as the beautiful instrumental drift. So beautiful it is enough to steal your breath away. KH
