You can tell that Swiss act Amoa is pulling from a well of longing, romance gone wrong and this act looking for all their worth for a way out of the sticky situation. ‘Try Lonely’ reminded me of Blondie for the most part and especially in the way all that rock exterior turns to melodic jelly on a memorable chorus. So we get vulnerability, passion and perhaps a timely sequel to ‘Hanging On The Telephone’. Sweetness and light amid all that falling apart at the seams.
