A tranquilly hypnotic art-pop success, “starseeds” is a new track from Stella Paris. The singer-songwriter — who is based in the West Midlands, England — takes inspiration from nature in particular; this is reflected in the track’s lyrics — referencing the ocean, natural light, and the sun and stars above, resonating amidst a tranquil array of sweeping instrumentation and steady rhythmic backdrops. References to reuniting souls precede grippingly soaring vocal theatrics, which proves magnetic in its ardor alongside Gregorian chant-like mystique, while the track’s more lushly spacious moments succeed as well.

“I am inspired by the interconnectedness of the universe, and how everything works in harmony, expressing a timeless message of love and peace. It is definitely a hopeful anthem for these times,” says Stella Paris, who wrote the track by the ocean and then recorded it in a North London studio. Its fusing of folk, world music, and modern electronic atmospherics results in a sound fit for contemplation and meditation — ideally by a calming seashore, or within range of the sun’s warming touch in general. “starseeds” is a memorable, riveting production from Stella Paris.
