Chicago-based artist Justin Sconza impresses on “Broken Glass,” amongst many highlights on his new album, Standards. Alongside a memorable production that melds a hazy psych-touched jangly rock appeal within a folk-ready disposition — shades of Elliott Smith crossed with Blur — the track succeeds in its introspective thematic allure. Sconza describes the release as “a meditation on resisting the pull of nostalgia and looking forward instead.”
