The Beaches Drop New Single “Touch Myself”

Canadian alt-rock band The Beaches has unveiled “Touch Myself,” a new single from their highly anticipated third studio album, ‘No Hard Feelings,’ set to be released on August 29th via AWAL. This 11-track album finds The Beaches at their most cohesive, spanning everything from the indie melancholy of “Lesbian of the Year” to the angst of “Can I Call You In The Morning?” ‘No Hard Feelings’ is poised to solidify the group’s position as a driving force in contemporary alt-rock, offering an album perfect for celebrating life’s highs and lows.

“Touch Myself” is the fourth single from the upcoming record, following “Did I Say Too Much”—which explores a tumultuous situationship—and the warm-weather anthem “Last Girls at the Party,” which set the tone for the album’s vibrant energy. These tracks join “Jocelyn,” a dreamy single released last September that delves into themes of impostor syndrome.

Of the track, the band share,

“Touch Myself is a song about being so heartbroken you can’t even masturbate, because when you do, it just makes you think of your ex. It’s about how grief can sneak into the most private parts of your life and leave you feeling totally wrecked.”

After a critically acclaimed performance at New York City’s Governors Ball earlier this month, The Beaches will continue their momentum with a set at Osheaga Festival in Montreal, followed by a European festival circuit. Their festival run continues in August with an appearance at Shaky Knees Festival in Atlanta before heading to Maryland’s All Things Go Festival. In September, the band will kick off a major headlining North American tour, hitting major cities like New York City, Los Angeles, and Toronto, culminating in a triumphant homecoming in Canada on November 15th. Additionally, The Beaches have been hosting invite-only “Last Girls at the Party” DJ sets globally, with one final event planned for Montréal in August, offering fans a chance to celebrate new music directly with the band.
