Last night (June 28), Beyoncé performed the first of two homecoming shows in Houston, having previously announced a world tour earlier this year. The dates come in celebration of the release of her country-inspired, Grammy-winning latest album, ‘Cowboy Carter’.

A consistent feature of the show is the singer’s red car, which she rides above the stage and over the crowd. Yesterday, the show drew to an abrupt halt when it got stuck briefly in the air during ’16 Carriages’.

Halfway through the track, the car unexpectedly tilted, with the Houston Chronicle reporting that the ‘II Most Wanted‘ singer was heard saying: “Stop. Stop, stop, stop, stop,” after it stalled. After thanking the crowd for their patience, her crew safely lowered her and the set piece back down to the stage.

After finishing the song, she thanked fans once again, saying: “If ever I fall, I know y’all will catch me.”
