The animated film, produced by Netflix and Sony Pictures Animation, features fictional KPop groups Huntrix and the villainous Saja Boys. In an unexpected twist of life mirroring art, songs from the movie are now charting on Billboard. The Saja Boys’ hypnotic single “Your Idol” currently sits at No. 77, surpassing Huntrix’s empowering track “Golden,” which holds No. 88. 

Since the film’s June 20 release, the soundtrack has gone viral, with streaming numbers skyrocketing from 13.3 million to over 42.8 million in just one week. The full album debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard charts and continues to climb. Even more remarkable, “Your Idol” just reached No. 1 on Spotify’s U.S. chart—the highest ever for a KPop boy band, surpassing BTS’s “Dynamite.” Fans are calling it a real-time music showdown, and awards season buzz is already building.
