Singer-songwriter Alice Phoebe Lou, known for her heartfelt and authentic voice, today revealed that her sixth studio album, Oblivion, is set for release on October 24th via Nettwerk Music Group. Described as a deeply personal collection of previously unreleased material, the upcoming record offers a stripped-back look at Lou’s global and internal explorations, marking her first album since 2023’s Shelter.

Alongside the album announcement, Lou also shared the self-assured new single, “Pretender.” The track sees her celebrating the strength she finds in her own gentleness and her unwavering commitment to authenticity, even when compromise might seem easier. While her fans have long championed this genuine spirit in her songwriting, “Pretender” represents a moment where Lou herself fully internalises and feels the payoff of being true to herself.
Of the single, she continues,
A loving ode to my younger self — reflecting on who I am and how hard I’ve worked to love her. The way I once used confidence as a shield to mask my insecurities has transformed into allowing my walls to come down as I can finally bask in who I am without the fear of being seen.
Lou’s recent touring schedule has been extensive, including three sold-out nights at The Lodge Room in Los Angeles this spring, followed by a performance with Remi Wolf at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Having just concluded a successful, sold-out European tour, she is now preparing to return to North America for a series of dates with her other project, strongboi, supporting Men I Trust. Throughout 2024, Lou also toured alongside Clairo on the intimate Charm Tour, interspersed with her own headline performances.
