The mischievous face plastered across Instagram feeds and bedroom shelves will tower over Vegas ravers as AREA15 hosts a one-night-only "Labubu Rave."
EDM and designer toy culture are colliding at the surrealist art complex Friday night, transforming it into what organizers describe as a "kaleidoscopic playground" inspired by the cult-favorite elfin character.
Created by Hong Kong-born illustrator and designer Kasing Lung, Labubu has garnered a devoted following among collectors willing to pay premium prices for limited-edition plush toys, with rare figures selling for up to $7,000. The brand in 2024 amassed over $1.8 billion in revenue, including $420 million outside China, according to CNN.
Scheduled for August 1st, the whimsical "Labubu Rave" will take place inside The Portal, one of the various rooms inside the massive AREA15 campus one mile west of the Strip. Designed as an immersive cuboid, The Portal transforms its floor, ceiling and four walls with 360° projection mapping and surround sound.

The event arrives as pop culture-themed raves continue to swell in statewide popularity, following similar parties inspired by Shrek, Pokémon, Powerpuff Girls, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Minions and even cheese. Earlier in the month of July, a Stranger Things-themed rave took place in Colorado ahead of the final season of Netflix's sci-fi juggernaut series.
AREA15's "Labubu Rave" is scheduled for August 1st. You can purchase tickets here.
