Whitney Unveil New Single, ‘Damage’

Today, Whitney unveil “Damage,” the stirring new single from their forthcoming album, Small Talk. Small Talk, Whitney’s fourth album, is set for release on 7 November via AWAL, and promises to be their most compelling and affecting record yet.

Reflecting on the track, Julien Ehrlich shares:

“We were searching for the sentiment of ‘Damage’ for a while. In hindsight, I think we were trying to avoid writing a breakup song, and in the process ignoring what the song was calling for. I remember once we finally got the first chorus ironed out we were able to see that it was ok to write another song about heartbreak as long as we completed it in a way that felt unique and undeniably ‘Whitney.’”

After a decade of living and creating together, Julien Ehrlich and Max Kakacek returned to the studio in the summer of 2024 to record without a producer, inviting friends and collaborators to contribute along the way. The result is 11 luminous tracks that balance instant Whitney classics with bold moments of growth, blending the familiar melodic warmth fans know with fresh explorations of their sound.

To support the album, Whitney will embark on a world tour this autumn, including a headline run across the UK in February, alongside stops in Europe, North America, and Australia. Tickets are available now.
