Wonho Releases First Full Album "Syndrome"

Soloist Wonho released his first full-length album, Syndrome, on October 31, 2025.

Wonho is an artist who speaks for himself. He has steadily grown through his vocals, performance, and songwriting, and his global activities have broadened his fandom.

This album traces the reactions lingering in the body and mind after experiencing love: the pulse of the beginning (ONSET), the surging heat (FEVER), and the reverberations after everything has passed (FALLOUT). Instead of grand drama, it depicts the emotional ups and downs through shifts in tempo, tone, and vocal resolution. The composition flows smoothly when listening, and the scenes remain vivid afterward.

The title track, "If You Wanna," is a pop/R&B track with a straightforward message: "If you want, let's get closer now." Resilient bass, tight drums, and synths with a sense of space create a minimal groove, while Wonho's flexible vocals vividly convey the vibrant city night and the burning passion within. From lyrics that speak of choice rather than a game of wits to a concise hook, this song perfectly represents the attitude of this full-length album. The music video showcases chic urban visuals and dynamic choreography.

'Fun'  is a pop track that exposes the emptiness hidden behind the call to have fun. While it's outwardly presented as a call to have fun, the deeper the emotions, the more complex and painful the inner self becomes. Despite its upbeat title, the bitter lyrics and rhythmic sound realistically illuminate the wounds and sincerity hidden beneath the "fun."

'DND' is an alternative pop R&B track about ending a relationship that has lost oneself in a repetitive pattern. As the title, an abbreviation for "Do Not Disturb," suggests, the track compares a weary heart to the Do Not Disturb mode on a phone.

'Scissors' is an R&B track that compares the pain of words to scissors. With a dreamy texture and a lively rhythm, the track lightly brushes away a heavy subject matter, creating a friendly, easy-to-sing-along feel.

'At the Time' is a pop ballad that warmly reflects on past moments with strings and a leisurely tempo. Simple harmonies leave a lingering, gentle aftertaste. The emotional vocals, transcending English and Korean, enhance the sincerity, and the song awakens forgotten gratitude and emotions, like raising a rose-colored glass to toast the past.

'Beautiful' is a pop ballad that captures the moments of love that make each other more beautiful. The rich melody and emotional sound create a cozy mood.

'On Top of the World' is described as a Neon retro synth-pop. Cinematic imagery and pulsating rhythms paint an enchanting nighttime scene. Combining retro sensibilities with modern pop sounds, it vividly portrays the city night and the freedom of youth.

'Good Liar' expresses the will to protect oneself and move forward amidst repeated lies and betrayals. In a relationship where wounds become language, the song centers on a strong inner strength to face the truth and protect oneself.

'Maniac' powerfully depicts the moment when passion turns into obsession, when the boundaries between them collapse. Sharp emotions and rough sounds vividly reveal the destructive side of love, depicting a fatal relationship marked by repeated breakups and reunions.

'Better Than Me' is a pre-released contemporary pop song directly conveys the conviction that "no one will love you more than I do." The delicate yet energetic melody and repetitive chorus richly convey the song's emotions, conveying both self-confidence and genuine love, creating a profound lingering and relatable experience.
