The sweetness was apparent before the vocals struct up, there is an innocence to the chords themselves as if they are carrying something personal. They set the groundwork for a track that shows us a number of sides of Taiwanese artist Andr, from the slightly introspective to the girl around town groove that ‘Faces’ ultimately becomes. Reminded me of Stina Nordamstam before things got confident to the point of strut. What a disarming listen this is, pop that just doesn’t want to settle for being the same as everything else.
