The band kicked off the first of two nights in Buenos Aires’s Estadio Mâs Monumental last night (November 16), and took the opportunity to honour the late Argentinian football icon, who died in 2020 aged 60.

During ‘Live Forever’, the band displayed an image of Maradona on the screen behind them, before Liam dedicated ‘Rock ‘N’ Roll Star’ to him, telling the crowd: “This next one’s for Diego Maradona.”

Earlier in the day, Noel also paid a visit to Maradona’s former club, Boca Juniors, and took photos of the sporting legend’s statue.
