The Simpsons character Alice Glick has been killed off after 35 seasons.
The long-running Springfield First Church organist finally came to an end on episode seven of the show’s 37th season after she keeled over onto her organ and died suddenly in the middle of a sermon by Reverend Lovejoy.
Her death served as the focus for the rest of the episode – titled Sashes To Sashes – which saw Glick leave her estate to Springfield Elementary to fund the school’s new music programme.
It comes after she was previously seemingly killed by a rogue robot seal during season 23, appearing afterwards as both alive and a ghost depending on the needs of the episode.
