Rexen holds a Master’s degree in composition from the Royal Academy of Music in Copenhagen and has performed at respected events such as Roskilde Festival, SPOT Festival, and Copenhagen Jazz Festival. These experiences clearly inform his ability to merge structure with emotional intent.
Hoik Up stands out not only for its message but also for its collaboration with Mette Lindberg, the frontwoman of Danish pop outfit The Asteroids Galaxy Tour. The pairing feels deliberate and well-matched, allowing both voices to occupy distinct yet complementary spaces within the arrangement.

Hoik Up also serves as the final single ahead of Rexen’s forthcoming album, The Chauffeur, due for release on January 23rd via Stunt Records, a project that has already set expectations high as 2026 begins.
