Biffy Clyro have kicked off their huge ‘Futique’ UK and Ireland tour in Belfast – check out footage and setlist info below.
On Friday night (January 9), the band played at the SSE Arena in the first of a run of nine shows in support of their 10th album ‘Futique’, which was released in September.
Soft Play and The Armed are supporting them on the trek, but bassist James Johnston is sitting the tour out to focus on his mental health, which he said last month had “led to addiction issues” that he had “kept concealed for a long time” and had started to cause “significant problems for myself and everyone around me”. Naomi Macleod of Bitch Falcon and Empire State Bastard is sitting in for Johnston for the shows.
Seven tracks from ‘Futique’ made their way onto the setlist, among classics including ‘Mountains’, ‘Living Is A Problem Because Everything Dies’ and ‘Many Of Horror’, while the stage setup itself reflected the new record’s angular artwork.

What a start to 2026! Biffy Clyro in Belfast . It's annoying when you think you have seen your best gig of the year in the first week in Jan! I would easily watch the Futique tour again! Shout out to the pleasing @softplayband. Punk shaved ape. @BiffyClyro @SSEBelfastArena pic.twitter.com/18ACqwUjPN
