The emotional aspect was clear to me straight away, it was tugging at heart strings that were willing so all it needed was Sérieu to do the necessary. And they were more than capable as they had recourse to the kind of melodic intent of a great 80’s pop act. Reminded me of China Crisis, also early Ride, but with more guitars at the ready. Sure it is lonesome but this is still glorious material for those who want to surrounded by subtle beauty. KH
