Last January, Mel C teased a potential Spice Girls stadium tour with Victoria Beckham in tow, reasoning that “she has to have that experience”. The group have previously embarked on a reunion tour in 2019 – however that line-up did not include Beckham.

Now, the singer has confirmed there is “no reunion” planned with bandmates Beckham, Mel B, Geri Halliwell-Horner and Emma Bunton.

A reunion this year would have celebrated the 30th anniversary of the group’s debut single, the smash hit ‘Wannabe’.

However, she said the band were “communicating all the time”, adding: “We want to do something. Who knows when, but I still feel very optimistic, and I keep my fingers crossed that you will see the Spice Girls together at some point in the future.”

The singer made the comments while she was on Australian radio show The Smallzy Show – listen to the segment here.
