Los Angeles-based artist Betty Moon immerses on new single “Want Me To,” presenting a catchy and impactful blend of soulful electro-pop and ’90s alternative energy. The self-produced anthem exudes addictive, unapologetic confidence alongside a memorable melodic drive.

“I put a spell on you,” Moon’s debonair vocal presence opens amidst a pulsing percussion and moody guitars, the latter ascending into a twangier exuberance as the vocals also increase in emotion. “I know you want me to,” a striking refrain lets out following the magnetic central hook. The production consistently envelops in its range between nocturnal intrigue and more fervent rock/pop synergy. “All I see is life in color now,” Moon’s vocals enthrall in an example of the latter, thematically exuding a sense of personal clarity and catharsis.

Coming via Betty Moon’s upcoming EP Strangely Beautiful, out on 4/17, “Want Me To” has us firmly anticipating that release and whatever’s next from Betty Moon. Seductive guitar twangs, doses of spacey synths, and a replay-inducing title-touting refrain are amongst the many strong aspects of the production, which finds an excellent balance between atmospheric mystique and hooky immediacy. It marks another success for Betty Moon, whose music has seen critical acclaim, and also spots in major television and film, including Californication, Dexter, Teen Mom: Young & Pregnant, Bounty Hunters, and the upcoming feature Butter.
