The Coral have shared messages revealing that they continue to be mistaken for the British bookies Coral.
The Merseyside indie band took to X today (March 29) to show a series of DMs they had recently received from a member of the public who was taking them to task for not paying out on a bet, under the assumption that the band were in fact the well-known gambling company.
The band signalled that this has become something of a regular occurrence for them, quipping: “Day #77432 of some angry fella messaging us about not paying out on his bet”.
In the attached messages, the individual demanded an explanation for why his bet on a football match involving the Guyana national team had not yet been paid out. “This is going everywhere you robbing bastards do you not make enough with out conning your customers,” the person wrote.
“This will be a time line video going to the gambling commission but all over SM through someone very high up in sport,” the threat continued.
