In celebration of Record Store Day – which returns on April 18 – and their 50th anniversary as a band, Sex Pistols will be releasing 81 amp stacks worldwide. Built in collaboration with their guitarist Steve Jones, the stack’s design is inspired by the shocking colours of the cover art for 1977 breakout album ‘Never Mind The Bollocks’.

The amps feature an all-valve construction with a 100W output to achieve the signature British guitar tone that the Pistols helped define. The stack also features single-channel simplicity with master volume, a series FX loop and versatile EQ settings with a matching 1960A 4×12 Angled Cabinet with Celestion G12T-75 speakers.

Speaking about the amp stack, Jones said: “I’ve been using Marshall for a long time now and the 800 series for me are my workhorse — always reliable, always consistent. I like to keep things simple, as the sayin’ goes. It’s only rock ’n’ roll.”

Sales start today (Thursday April 16) and pink cover/yellow fret units can be purchased at Marshall.com, while yellow cover/pink fret exclusive units will be available only at Sexpistolsofficial.com.

In addition to their amp stack, the Pistols are set to release a special edition of their 2022 compilation album ‘Jubilee’. The compilation encompasses their singles with Johnny Rotten and beyond, including their greatest hits and other rarities. The record will be pressed exclusively on pink vinyl.

Alongside the Pistols, there are hundreds of exclusive releases coming to Record Store Day 2026 – you can check out the full list here.

In other news, the Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter have announced their ‘Anarchy In The UK’ 2026 arena tour celebrating 50 years of punk.
