Global Stars Khalid and Ahn Hyo-seop Announce Collaboration Song "Something Special" with FANDOM Album

A bold new chapter in global music collaboration and fan participation begins with the announcement of “Something Special,” an upcoming cross-market single from international star Ahn Hyo-seop - widely recognized for his global success as “Jinu,” the leader of the demon boy band Saja Boys in the Netflix animated smash film KPop Demon Hunters - and multi-platinum recording artist Khalid. Set for release on May 22nd, the track represents a powerful convergence of K-pop and U.S. R&B - two of the most influential forces shaping global pop culture today. The single is produced by Woo “RAINSTONE” Rhee, known for his work on "Nobody" by the famed K-pop supergroup Wonder Girls, and co-produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Troy “R8DIO” Johnson, recognized for his contributions to A Seat at the Table by Solange, featured in Apple Music’s inaugural “100 Best Albums.”

The new track is the latest release under FANDOM, following January’s critically acclaimed “Two Car Garage” collaboration from Jon Bellion and Swae Lee. Developed by Musicow in partnership with Roc Nation, FANDOM reimagines how fans connect with music and the artists behind it. Through FANDOM, fans are invited into the creative journey, offering new ways to engage with releases, support artists, and be part of the momentum behind global collaborations.

Marking Ahn Hyo-seop’s first single as a solo artist and Khalid’s first single with a Korean artist, “Something Special” reflects the increasingly borderless nature of today’s music landscape. By pairing Ahn Hyo-seop’s international presence with Khalid’s signature sound, the track is positioned to resonate across audiences worldwide.

As part of the FANDOM experience, the release will be accompanied by fan-focused moments designed to bring audiences closer to the music and the artists behind it, with opportunities to engage around the launch. The project reflects a broader shift toward more inclusive, community-driven music experiences, where fans play a more active role in how music is shared and celebrated.

FANDOM’s latest “Something Special” release is just the beginning. With a strong pipeline of global collaborations in development, the platform is positioned to become a driving force in the next evolution of the music industry, one where fans are not just consumers, but active participants in bringing music to life.
