YOUNITE has returned with their 8th EP "Fate: INYUN Part 1" on May 12.
A bond that remains unbroken, even when individuals are situated in different places, circumstances, and time zones—we call this “Inyun”. In the very moment we arrive in the same space and our paths intersect, YOUNITE captures that connection.
Unfolding through a tracklist that weaves together diverse genres—including Digicore, UK House, Post-Rock, and Rage Hyper—this album strips away exaggerated brightness. Instead, it maintains a dense, palpable tension through low-saturation sonics and restrained energy. Rather than expressing emotions overtly, the music conveys feeling through pressure, texture, and structure—demonstrating a newfound depth in YOUNITE’s artistic direction.
Visually expanding upon how existence is revealed through the two distinct states of “In”(Cause) and “Yun” (Connection), this album functions as a cohesive artistic language across its costumes, choreography, visuals, music, and stage production. It traces a fluid trajectory—moving from a hazy, pre-perceptual state to the concrete form that emerges the instant one is recognized. Having forged countless connections with global fans over time, YOUNITE now embarks on a journey to define for themselves the true meaning of those connections.
This title track 'POSE! (姿態)' captures that singular "pose"—the precise moment when two distinct worlds overlap within a single frame. The subtitle, "姿態" (Jatae), refers to the manner in which an existence is revealed and the form it takes at the very instant it is perceived; it embodies the intention to vividly immortalize that fleeting moment when previously unseen connections are brought to light. Through a fusion of restrained energy, dense soundscapes, and meticulously crafted choreography, the track unveils a new facet of YOUNITE—one distinct in texture and style from anything they have presented before.
“Fate: INYUN Part.1” serves as the starting point for the new bonds that YOUNITE will forge. Just as we were once a single destiny united through YOUNITE, we now connect through a new destiny.
