Obsession is the hotly-tipped new horror movie arriving in cinemas this week, but what songs are in the film? Find out below.
The supernatural horror comes from the young writer, director and editor Curry Barker, who made his name on the YouTube sketch show That’s A Bad Idea, before making a splash with the micro-budget found footage horror film Milk & Serial in 2024, made for a total of $800.
Obsession stars Michael Johnston (Teen Wolf) as Bear, a music store employee who buys a mysterious ‘One Wish Willow’ toy that promises to grant him one wish. He wishes that his childhood friend Nikki (Inde Navarrette) will fall in love with him, but he ends up getting a lot more than he bargained with.

The film co-stars Cooper Tomlinson, Megan Lawless and Andy Richter and it premiered at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival last September. It arrives in cinemas in the UK and the US on Friday (May 15).
It has been very well received by critics, currently sitting on a 96 per cent rating on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes. Its consensus reads: “Taking an icky conceit and twisting it to deviously crowd-pleasing ends, Obsession is dauntingly disturbing while also skillfully amusing and thrilling.”
The film includes an original score from the American composer Rock Burwell, a relatively new name in film composition who has worked as a music producer in hip-hop and alternative music.
In addition, there are a select few needle drop moments in the film, from underground and alternative musicians, including Los Angeles singer-songwriter Jayo and indie artist Current Joys.
The full list of songs in Obsession is:
Jayo – ‘Matador (Red Flags)’
Felly – ‘There’s No Other’
Current Joys – ‘Televisions’
Jayo – ’Damage’
