After establishing themselves within the UK underground scene and drawing the attention of legendary BBC radio figure John Peel, Dolium reunited in 2024 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Sister 9 Recordings. Now, in 2026, the band continues to push forward with another chapter in their career, driven by their signature blend of lo-fi, post-punk, and scuzz-rock sounds.
On the other side stands Lives, a band known for combining post-punk aggression with sharp, hard-rock execution. Their debut album, Let Them Eat Cake, delivered a socially charged and uncompromising sound that helped establish the group as one to watch. The single Just Can’t Get Enough pushed the band even further, earning placement in the Netflix series Lucifer alongside airplay on BBC Music 6, Radio X, and BBC Introducing.
And as if it were a match made in heaven (or hell, depending on your perspective), Dolium and Lives found in each other the perfect outlet for their individually unrestrained rage, resulting in the potent and striking new track, Shame!
Despite its short runtime, Shame! still manages to capture pure unfiltered punk fury, with Dolium dominating the verses through a commanding delivery that gives them the feel of forceful spoken-word passages, while Lives brings an explosive sense of release to the choruses, all backed by thunderous drums and crushing riffs.
Fans will also have the chance to see Dolium and Lives perform together during their upcoming collaborative headline shows:
