Spoilers ahead for the final episode of ‘The Boys’
The finale of The Boys has received an enthusiastic reception from fans online, one of whom compared it to the ending of Breaking Bad.
The superhero satire came to a close today (May 20) with Homelander (Antony Starr) finalle meeting his demise in a televised showdown in the White House. The episode also revealed the fates of Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) and numerous other favourites.
The fifth and final season has proven divisive among fans, although many taking to X (formerly Twitter) had praise for how Eric Kripke’s show bowed out.
“The Boys finale was actually so good im so glad they stuck the landing” wrote one user, with another adding: “The final episode of The Boys is 10/10″.
