Well I must admit to feeling like we’ve been caught up in an old school Stereolab vortex and it feels good to have ‘New Joy’ in the vicinity as a result. Not just the motorik either as there is a host of moving parts here that has Grenoble’s Pills for Tomorrow throwing something classy in our direction. Nathalie Valion’s singing has that off-kilter manner that sits so unevenly cool atop the buzz of the playing and all of a sudden the ways of Gallic pop shows us to tunesville’s top table. KH
