CROSS GENE Celebrate 14th Anniversary with Single "Helicopter"

On June 8, CROSS GENE's Shin Wonho and Yongseok reunited to release their first single album in 6 years "Helicopter

The single album "Helicopter" embodies the members'—Shin Wonho and Yongseok—desire to reunite with the fans who have waited so long for them. Notably, Shin Wonho personally participated in the songwriting, composition, and production, allowing for a more sincere expression of the track's emotional depth.

The title track, 'Helicopter,' depicts a relationship where feelings for one another remain, yet the two parties fail to bridge the gap and instead circle the same spot. Mirroring the movement of a helicopter hovering in the air, the song captures repetitive emotions and misaligned gazes; it translates the complex sentiment of not wanting to let go while remaining unable to easily reach the other person into a dreamlike atmosphere and a stylish soundscape. The blend of CROSS GENE’s signature delicate sensibility and understated vocals creates a moment of emotional reconnection after a long hiatus.

The accompanying track, 'Helicopter (O.C Remix),' retains the mood of the original while adding a unique twist through a more intense beat and a repetitive hook structure. The recurring "Helicopter" sound amplifies the cyclical nature of emotions within the relationship, delivering a sense of immersion and energy distinct from the original version.
