Today (June 9), Destiny 2 developers Bungie release the final update for the long-running live-service game. ‘Monument Of Triumph’ has been described as a “love letter” to Destiny 2. “Our goal is to ensure Destiny 2 can be a place you come back to and feel rewarded no matter what you play, while also having enough variety in activities to fit your mood for a given play session,” explained developers. But the game won’t receive any new content, seasonal activities or updates going forward, with many fans believing that this is the beginning of the end of the sci-fi shooter.

To mark the occasion, the Bungie audio team have released the 46-track ‘Monument Of Triumph’ album on streaming.

“The journey of Destiny 2 has been unforgettable for us, full of moments of joy and awe as we watched Guardians overcome the challenges put before them; to come together in the spirit of teamwork and overcome the odds; to rise and to fall, and to rise once again,” explained the audio team in a statement.

“We’re proud to present this collection of music, our largest Destiny 2 soundtrack release ever, featuring a wide range of tones and moods. These songs have accompanied your triumphs throughout the game and continue to reflect Destiny’s enduring themes: an unwavering optimism for a brighter future, even in the darkest moments,” they added. “We hope you enjoy this collection of music as you continue your journey in Destiny 2 and beyond. May [it] accompany you into the future, wherever in the stars your destiny takes you.”
