Released in 2024 as a PlayStation 5 exclusive, Stellar Blade takes place in the near-future after an apocalyptic event that saw humanity abandoning Earth. Playing as Eve, your job is to return to the planet and reclaim it from the strange, powerful creatures that now call it home. “But as Eve tackles the Naytiba one-by-one, piecing together the mysteries of the past in the ruins of human civilization, she realizes that her mission is far from straightforward. In fact, almost nothing is as it seems…,” reads the official description of the action game.

Stellar Blade came to PC last summer and earlier this week, it was confirmed the sci-fi game will be released on the Nintendo Switch 2 at some point this year. It’s now been announced that the game’s brilliant soundtrack is coming to vinyl.

Laced are set to launch a 2LP and 4LP version of the Stellar Blade soundtrack with both versions featuring liner notes written by the game’s sound director, Jooeun Hwang which will reveal “hidden details” about key tracks from the game and the dynamics of the different music teams.

The soundtrack features electronic, rock, acoustic, jazz and K-pop inspired tracks that “call forth a vision of a doomed yet hopeful sci-fi future,” according to a press release. “The tracklist has been thoughtfully curated by the Stellar Blade sound team to represent Eve’s journey across the game while ensuring the inclusion of fan-favourites such as ‘Flooded Commercial Sector’, ‘Everglow’, and ‘Raven’.

“For the music of Stellar Blade, our priority was to preserve and highlight the unique identity of each individual composer and artist, while ensuring that those individual voices were ultimately used to express Stellar Blade itself,” said Hwang in a statement. “Thank you for playing and for listening to our music. We sincerely appreciate your support.”

As well as the standard black vinyl, Laced has two exclusive editions. The 4LP boxset is available with “Smokin’ Combo’ colour discs while the double LP is pressed onto ‘Stellar Blue Marble’ vinyl. You can pre-order the Stellar Blade vinyl here.
