Footage has been shared of the England team looking out in awe as the crowd sing along to Oasis’ ‘Wonderwall’ after their victory against Croatia at the World Cup.
Harry Kane and co. secured a 4-2 victory over the Croatian team as they went head to head in Dallas, Texas last night (Wednesday June 17).
The England captain put his team ahead just 12 minutes into the game with a twice-taken penalty – following a foul from the Croatian team.
Croatia then levelled things out with a goal on the 36 minute mark, before Kane restored England’s lead with a header. The match was tied again when Petar Musa knocked the ball past Jordan Pickford just seconds before half-time.
In the second half of the match, England went back into the lead thanks to Jude Bellingham in the 47th minute, and the victory was secured as Marcus Rashford – on as a substitute – got the final goal of the game on the 85-minute mark.
With the two goals from Kane, the England captain is now level with Gary Lineker on 10 World Cup goals. He has also joined Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland in making an early pitch for the Golden Boot award.
