Rang like a piece of prog-rock to me at first but Meggo reached down into indie pop territory too. The thing that set their ‘Just My Luck’ apart was the way the ideas poured forth seemingly at random but which coalesced into something that felt like a whole at the same time. I guess you could say it is a giddy kind of confection, the sort that has a childhood sparkle going for it and a novelty quality so no hint of dull moments. Reaches for the sky and even the curmudgeons in the audience feel like they were part of something special. KH
