On July 13, rookie boy group DAILY:DIRECTION released their second single album "MONKEY MODE."
"MONKEY MODE" is an album that confronts imperfection in the most primal and playful way. It depicts a journey of seeking answers within oneself—rather than externally—amidst moments of self-doubt and instability, ultimately embracing one's true self instead of striving for perfection. The album captures the courage to keep moving forward despite being clumsy or messy, as well as the process of transforming even one's imperfections into a source of personal strength.
The title track, 'DOWN WITH IT,' is an electronic song blending hyperpop and house elements; it portrays the emotional tug-of-war involved in desperately wanting someone's heart.
The whimsical music video featuring a monkey motif, further establishes DAILY:DIRECTION's quirky identity and has achieved an impressive over one million videos within the first day of release.
Another track, 'TRAPPED,' is an Emo Hip-hop song that fuses rock sounds with trap beats. It tells the story of being unable to forget someone and remaining confined by those feelings, honestly expressing a desire to stay in that very state.
