Post Malone has performed in the pre-game ceremony at the World Cup final, and used the slot to break out new song ‘Chrome Heartbreaker’. Check it out below.
The performance took place last night at the New York New Jersey Stadium, just ahead of kick-off for the FIFA World Cup final match between Spain and Argentina – where Spain won 1-0.
The victory for Spain marks their second World Cup triumph, and was remarkably similar to their first win in 2010, when they scored in extra time to win against the Netherlands.
Before the match though, there were a run of live performances and appearances from famous faces, including a quick live show from Post Malone. At the event, the rap and country star opened with new song ‘Chrome Heartbreaker’ – a laid-back new track he has been teasing over the past few days.
“I’m breakin’ bands up, I’m Yoko Ono/ She want that Benz truck, she want that Coco/ And now she lookin’ up at me like I’ma save her/ She don’t know that I’m a Chromе heartbreaker,” he sang in the chorus, sporting a shirt that read “I just hope both teams have fun”. Check it out below.
