KIHOON of CATCH THE YOUNG and KIMDONGHYUN of AB6IX Release Collab Single "Blue"

On July 20, the first collaboration single "BLUE" by Kihoon of the youth band Catch The Young featuring Kim Donghyun of AB6IX.

"BLUE" goes beyond the conventional image of the color blue; it captures the anxieties and hopes, the wounds and growth, and the courage to move toward one's dreams that define youth.

Youth, having raced ceaselessly toward the "perfect light" demanded by the world, eventually grows weary and comes to a halt. It is within that darkness that one finally asks oneself:

"Why did we believe we always had to shine?"

On a deep, blue night far removed from the city's noise, the guitar sound—dreamy and fluid like drifting through the ocean—blends with an explosive, building band sound to delicately portray the emotions of youth, where anxiety and hope coexist. By embracing even the feelings of wavering, clumsiness, and fragility just as they are, the darkness transforms from a place of fear into a starting point for confronting one's true self.

In particular, Kim Dong-hyun’s understated yet profound vocals harmonize with Kihoon’s sensibility, vividly bringing to life the comfort and hope the song conveys.

"BLUE" tells the story that dreams do not end, even in moments when we believe we have lost our light. The bluest night is not the darkest hour, but a time to gather the courage to move forward once again. It is a song that sings of the blue nights shared by us all—nights that will be remembered longer than any dazzling light.
