Limp Bizkit’s “Rollin’ (Air Raid Vehicle)” is the latest song to join Spotify’s Billions Club, which celebrates tracks that have surpassed one billion streams on the platform. The nu metal anthem marks the band’s second song to reach the milestone, following 1999’s raucous “Break Stuff.”
“Rollin’ (Air Raid Vehicle)” appears on Limp Bizkit’s third studio album, Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water, released in 2000. Written by frontman Fred Durst alongside bandmates Wes Borland, Sam Rivers, and John Otto, the track is one of the group’s signature songs and a defining hit of the early 2000s.
The single peaked at No. 4 and No. 10 on Billboard’s Alternative Airplay and Mainstream Rock charts, respectively. It found even greater success overseas, reaching No. 1 on the U.K. Singles Chart while landing in the Top 10 in several other European countries.
“Rollin’” was one of several singles from Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water, alongside “My Generation,” “My Way,” and “Take A Look Around.” The album arrived on the heels of Limp Bizkit’s 1999 breakthrough Significant Other, further establishing the Florida band as one of the biggest acts of the nu metal era.
The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and spotlighted Limp Bizkit’s blend of metal, hip-hop, and rock. It also features an alternate version of “Rollin’,” titled “Rollin’ (Urban Assault Vehicle),” featuring DMX, Method Man, and Redman and produced by Swizz Beatz. The LP also became a record-setter, scoring the title of fastest-selling rock album in the country at the time.
Limp Bizkit’s latest studio album, Still Sucks, arrived in 2021, marking their first full-length project in a decade. The band remains active, following the tragic passing of bassist Sam Rivers in 2025. Recently, Nashville producer Benjamin Grizzell shared an Instagram photo featuring Limp Bizkit in the studio, possibly teasing new music. “Coolest job ever. What an awesome couple weeks with these guys,” he wrote in the caption.
The band will soon headline the Good Things Festival, an Australian travelling heavy-music event featuring over 30 acts spanning nu-metal, pop-punk, metalcore and hardcore. The lineup also features Simple Plan, Spiritbox, Polaris, The All-American Rejects, Bad Religion, P.O.D. and The Devil Wears Prada. The festival takes place on Dec. 4 at Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne, Dec. 5 at Sydney Showground, and Dec. 6 at Brisbane Showgrounds.
