There sure is a heartfelt approach being taken by Sydney’s Marlophone and it tenderly makes a beeline for our inner treasure chest. Helps that there are a pair of singers at the helm, each brings another hefty dose of emotional resonance. Things went particular Sigur Rós on us when the percussion kicked in and tear ducts were asked to ready themselves for action. This is music that moves in quarters that have the capacity to turn a day around, we stood still to take in the rich aura. KH
