Fans are sharing their hopes of what Oasis songs will be played next summer after the Manchester band announced a series of new tour dates today (September 14).
There have long been rumours of the Gallaghers returning to road again in 2027, with reports emerging that they’d be playing shows in Manchester and Knebworth. Off the back the hype surrounding their new documentary Don’t Look Back In Anger about their reunion and the last run of shows, the band then started a teaser campaign with Easter eggs revealing the locations – before confirming that an announcement was coming with a drone show over the Etihad.
That announcement arrived today with news of 38 shows kicking off next May that will see the band calling at Scotland, England, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, France, Italy, the US and Ireland.
“START THE CELEBRATIONS!!!!,” the band shared in a statement. “After a period of reflection ‘The Most Damaging Pop Cultural Force In Recent British History’ has declared itself fit for purpose and will once again return to lift the spirits of the people,” they continued, once again mocking a damning article that was written about the last tour.
Oasis added: “Come witness the fitness. It shall be a sight to behold.”
Aside from the homecoming shows in Manchester, the Live ’27 tour be visiting new locations to the 2025 dates. They’ll be opening with five nights at Glasgow’s Celtic Park kicking off on May 21, before a mammoth 11 gigs at The Etihad and a trek across Europe with multiple night stops in Munich, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Rome, and Paris – the latter being the city where the band infamously split in 2009.
The tour will then conclude back on home turf with the band returning to the site of legendary ’90s gigs at Slane Castle and for four nights at Knebworth. The support act at all shows will once again be Richard Ashcroft, who previously joined them on their Live ’25 UK dates. You can see the full list of dates here.
Last year, the band played the same songs throughout their tour (which you can see below). Some fan favourites missing included ‘Columbia’, ‘Stop Crying Your Heart Out’, ‘All Around The World’ and ‘She’s Electric’.
In the campaign leading up to the announcement, Oasis shared teaser videos which included the songs ‘Lyla’ and ‘Shock Of The Lightning’, leading some fans on social media to speculate if these could be included next summer.
Fans have also been sharing their wish lists for the 2027 set list, which includes some classics, rarities and B-sides. Check them out here:
Columbia is the obvious one, but a few more non-singles I think Oasis might get away with playing on the 2027 tour:
