It’s time for part two of the four-part Kpopalypse Objectification Survey results! These results are all about ass – who has the best asses in k-pop right now? Read on as Kpopalypse’s readers decide!
Is it true that k-pop fans really enjoy treating their favourite idols like objects? Of course they do! Just remember fans, that your bias is not an object – they are a person… with a great ass! Let’s take a look at the best k-pop asses of the year!
As per previous years, voters were asked to choose up to three nominees in each category, best first, and points were allocated as per the following system:
Scores were then tallied to give the final results across all categories.

Remember folks – that if you object to any of the choices here for any reason, you only have yourselves to blame as these were 100% your votes, not mine. Kpopalypse does not even cast a vote – these are NOT my picks but YOURS, and this isn’t like a rigged Korean TV show where the “judges” get a say and can overturn fan opinion. If you want to see a certain result, then it’s your responsibility to spread the surveys to the people who are going to vote for your faves!

Blackpink’s Lisa paved the way to the top of the ass category this year off the back of lots of solo releases, touring, and toning up her glutes with all that sitting in Ferraris. She’s definitely arrived in the objectification survey’s area – congratulations, Lisa!

Yoohyeon on the other hand has done very little all year except some very average activity in Dreamcatacher’s Vivizification spinoff group UAU. The memory of surveydoers is long however, and this lack of activity didn’t stop her from a solid third placing!

Karina being in the top echelon of these charts is nothing unusual, but… in the ass category? Could it be that there was just one stage out of a thousand that Karina did that showed only the tiniest G-rated childrens-TV-hour-friendly amount of butt and everyone just went bananas and lost their marbles? Or maybe she’s just really popular right now, who knows.

What will happen with Eunha now that Viviz’ label has basically shat themselves? Eunha’s chart position has remained stable so far, but hopefully we get to see her return to some more stages soon or I won’t be able to put her in posts anymore and that will make sadder than Wonho without gym time. Someone please check up on her.

Boasting a TPM (twerks per minute) faster than anyone else on this list, Daniela dropped a few spots but it wasn’t a result of lack of effort, rather I just think readers still weren’t sure if she was eligible to vote for or not (despite her placing well last year). Being signed to Bang Si-Hyuk’s label certainly counts her as a k-pop, speaking of which now that’s a celebrity who’s escaped these lists so far… now that Shindong’s slimmed down, perhaps a worthy successor?

A Kpopalypse list without Momo would be like pizza without cheese, or k-pop ballad music videos without chairs, or k-pop fans who hate this list without conservative pearl-clutching hypocrisy. Reliable as always, Momo managed to retain her placing from the previous year.

It’s actually weirdly difficult to find good shots of Yuna for use in these posts. The problem with being the leading authority on glute appreciation is that whenever I search for idols now half the results are images that I’ve already posted from previous years! Anyway, Yuna’s back and has even ascended a bit, so much for Itzy being the supposedly forgotten JYP girl group, certainly not around these parts.

It’s no secret that the Kpopalypse Objectification Survey is really a popularity/relevance content more than an objective assessment of physical attributes, and as a result most entrants dip out of the polls almost immediately as soon as they stop being active in the k-pops, despite nothing about their actual appearance changing. Then there’s Sohee, who is somehow still polling high despite being in a group so irrelevant that they had to change their name, plus doing five fifths of fuck-all in the entertainment business for the last two years. That’s when you know you were born for survey domination!
