On September 25, GOT7 leader JAY B brought his "tape: roots" USA tour to Dallas, turning up the heat in the city’s Deep Ellum district with a performance at The Bomb Factory. The fifth stop on his six-city U.S. tour, the concert celebrated his latest mini-album, "TR.EE," while giving fans a chance to experience the singer’s charisma and musical versatility up close.

From his stylish stage fashion to unexpected throwbacks and hilarious exchanges with the audience, JAY B made the evening feel like more than a showcase of his discography. His playful personality and willingness to interact with the crowd kept the energy high, creating the kind of concert experience fans would be talking about long after the lights went down.

JAY B certainly understood the assignment when it came to stage presence. His outfit featured a cropped, ribbed top that fit so closely it almost looked painted on, adding to the confident, effortlessly cool aesthetic he brought to the stage!

Fans also had their own requests. When audience members called for a sexy pose, JAY B took a few sips of water before briefly obliging them, teasing the crowd and making the moment even more entertaining. It was another example of how naturally he balanced his charismatic stage persona with a sense of humor.

That confidence became a talking point of its own when JAY B declared, “I should be more humble. These days my confidence is very high!” The self-aware comment drew laughs and cheers from the audience, who were delighted that JAY B was in a great mood, perfectly capturing the playful energy that carried throughout the night.

Beyond the teasing, JAY B made sure fans were actively involved in the performance. He encouraged louder sing-alongs and kept the crowd engaged, turning familiar lyrics into shared moments between the artist and his audience.

One of the evening’s standout surprises came when he teased snippets of “Face,” giving fans an unexpected treat. These spontaneous touches helped distinguish the Dallas, making the night feel personal and unpredictable.

During a conversation with the audience, JAY B asked how many times he had visited Dallas. After some back-and-forth, the crowd settled on three visits, though this was his first time bringing a solo tour to the city.

The exchange gave fans a chance to reflect on his history with Dallas while celebrating a new chapter in his career. Although he has visited the city before, performing there as a solo artist gave the occasion a different significance.

The tape: roots tour supports TR.EE, a mini-album that reflects JAY B’s continued evolution as a solo artist while building on the musical identity he has established throughout his career.

As GOT7’s leader, JAY B has spent years balancing group activities with his individual artistic pursuits. His solo work gives him room to explore different sounds and showcase his musicality, from smooth R&B influences to upbeat, performance-driven tracks.

With only one stop remaining on the U.S. tour, JAY B joked that he would finally be able to eat kimchi jjigae after wrapping up the run. The comment offered a glimpse of his personality outside the performance itself, giving fans another lighthearted moment to remember.

But beneath the jokes was a sincere message. JAY B expressed his desire to create a great memory for everyone in attendance and shared his hope that he could return to Dallas very soon. His words reinforced the mutual affection between the artist and the fans who filled The Bomb Factory to welcome him.

JAY B saved another Texas-inspired touch for the encore. Returning to the stage in a cowboy hat, he embraced the Dallas spirit and gave the final moments of the concert a distinctly local flair. The look was a fitting way to celebrate the city's enthusiastic welcome, adding a playful Western touch to the tour's closing stretch.

Meanwhile, we can wait for JAY B's 3rd single "Chptr.1" coming soon on October 27.
